Research Assistant (ASSIST) Training
The First Rung, and How Not to Slip Off It
The entry point into clinical research, written for someone who has never worked in it: what the job is and what it is not, following a protocol instruction exactly, what to do when the instruction does not fit, talking to participants without straying into clinical advice, confidentiality and participant numbers, making a record someone can rely on years later, copying without introducing an error, noticing what has to be told to someone, preparing visits and supplies, and above all knowing the edge of your own authority. It assumes no prior industry knowledge.
30 lessons, about 45 minutes. Free, in your language.
